I'm a 24 year old woman who was diagnosed in May '08. I don't have all the classic symptoms of RA, but I respond dramatically well to Pred. so I was put on MTX. I have now moved on to Enbrel.
Perhaps the hardest part for me about having RA is having to come to terms with the fact that I can no loner take on and do all that I used to do. I'm not very good at pacing myself. Before I got sick, I was preparing to fulfill my lifelong dream of entering medical school. I have now put that aside to focus on getting my RA under control.
