Oh, that would be grand to feel really good with no pain at all. I'd probably get out in the yard and do things that would cause pain.:)

AF Dude, I took my last name off the member information and could not reply to anything for two days. When I put the last name back on, I could reply. I did NOT change my sign in ID nor the password. Why did this happen?

Lauren, if you ever come back to the arthritis site, I just want to tell you that it was such a great pleasure to meet you and your husband! I don't know how my time will play out for the other seniors meetings. I had, with the help of my son, brought all Bill's clothes to the church to be used for the homeless, so I stayed for the meeting hoping to meet both of you. This week has been a very busy and hard one for me, but I'm determined to move ahead.

Grandpavan, I have a dear brother in TX who just turned 81 and another dear brother in CA who just turned 90. This brother has just learned to do e-mail and writes to me fairly often. He'd rather do that since he can't hear very well on the phone.

Geneva, so sorry to hear you are in so much pain. If you are interested, there are many resources for connecting with other RA folks, but one I have enjoyed is www.treamentdiaries.com. I like to pass it along because the more resources the better for connecting with folks with like conditions. Be well!

I just read your latest blog, Granny. Although the rheumatologists tell me that I no longer have RA, I am having a LOT of pain lately. I'm blaming it on the storms that are passing through Northern Illinois this morning, but, nevertheless it pain with a capital P. Right now, I'm reading a book by R.C. Sproul entitled "The Holiness of God" and I'm doing a Bible Study at my church on Revelation. I just read the 4th,5th and 22nd chapters. Absolutely awe-inspiring. Talk about turning into a butterfly!!!! This pain and the grief I'm dealing with just make it more wonderful to think about.

I finally got here by finding your name and clicking on it. I enjoyed reading. The way I figure it, if I can take a pill - or some pills that will improve the quality of my life now, I'll swallow them unless they make me feel worse :) Absolutely - if I didn't have the hope of the Lord, I think my days would be "dark." Just a little personal thing - I fell on Saturday and hurt one knee badly and sprained my right hand. That night I was talking to the Lord and I said, "if you want me to be at church tomorrow, I need help. I need a good nights sleep first." I slept 7 hours straight! It took me almost an hour to get ready, but I did it and went and it felt good. God bless you in your struggles.
