Jon McClain

A retired Engineer and adrenaline junky, diagnosed with RA at the age 59 (just ten short years ago). Probably had RA for 4 or 5 years before that (manly men don't go to the doctor cause of a bit o"pain).

Been on MTX almost 10 years now. Finally started on Remicade about 4+ years ago after significant damage began to show itself.
I have had foot surgery that has dramatically improved my ability to do the crazy things that adrenaline junkies do! At my RD's suggestion, I switched to Orencia but it did not work for me and am now back on Remicade. Unfortunately, it is no longer lasting lasting a long as did previously.

Am currently in my third month of of an Actemra (tocilizumab) trial here in Houston. If you have nay questions about this trial drug, please don't hesitate to send me message!

Unfortunately my long time passion for sailing is now expressed in more passive ways.

Am a life long advocate of universal health care.
