March 2010 New info = Last Dec. I went to a new rheumy. Turns out I only have RA in my scaro-iliac area, not all over as my other rheumy thought. I have sleep disorder (hyponea) that is causing my fatigue, early carpal tunnel that is affecting my hands, and overall misalignment that is causing knee pain!!! Off most of the meds, so feeling better in that respect. So frustrated that I went almost 3 years with wrong dx and lots of meds that I didn't need.

I live in Bothell, WA and am remarried as of Mar. '06. I have 2 great kids (see photos!), and 2 step-kids. Dx'd with RA in Sept. '07. Had sacro-iliac joint pain for about 15 yrs, then physiatrist finally did MRI and labs to figure out that it was RA. Now getting stiffness and pain in hands & feet. Was on methotrexate for a bit, then Enbrel added, but due to bad mouth sores, they pulled me off the MTX. Enbrel not quite doing the trick, so we're looking to switch to Humira when Enbrel runs out.

Aug 29, 2008 Update. Just back from rheum - thinks it's really spondyloarthropathy, another autoimmune disorder. I have a very sore sacro-iliac joint and also hands/feet, so that's why they are thinking it's SpA not RA. Same treatment - we're moving to Humira.
