Where to start....I'm 29 and just got diagnosed with RA about a week and half ago (6-17-09). I don't think it has quite sunk in yet although the constant pain and swelling reminds me on a daily basis. I have taken one dose of methotrexate and go back to my Rheumatologist in August to start Enbrel.
On the homefront, I am married to a wonderful man...my highschool sweetheart. We have 2 beautiful kids, a boy and a girl (ages 11 and 6). Our family is no stranger to auto immune diseases. Both my husband and son have type 1 diabetes and are insulin dependent. We manage to support each other to get through all these diseases....It is laugh or cry at this point. On the upside we have great families and 4 dogs (Boxers) to keep us going and numerous friends. I'm glad to have come across this forum...it is a true blessing and I will keep everyone in my prayers!!!
Diagnosed with RA 6/09 meds: methotrexate, folic acid, vitamin D, and prozac.
