Oct. 2008 Hi, I am 59, felt 39 until about a year ago. Good family support and 4 grandkids that I want to do everything with them.
Went to many Dr's and seem to get the same comment of "You know we are all getting older". Finally got referred to a Rhuemy about 6 mos ago. After his diagnosis I was started on Plaq. and Asul. I did not respond to those meds and liver enzymes were going up. He said it was time to move on to next level of treatment. Waiting to start Mtx as soon as a resp illness clears up . Feb 2009- Failed MTX treatment, and now on Arava. In 2 weeks I will have been on Arava 3 mos without success. Hoping the next med will be the one.
