I am 44 yrs old and was just diagnosed with RA officially in Aug '08. My pain started in Apr. '07. They initially diagnosed me with OA and fibromyalgia and then found the Ra ,which was neg. in my blood work but showed up in a MRI. I was a pediatric RN and had to stop working due to the pain and weakness. Fighting the disability board right now. I use to be very active at my children's school and church. Now I just sit on the sidelines. I am unable to walk or stand for more than a few mins. Sitting is only comfortable in cushioned chairs. It drives me crazy not getting involved.
