She has more range of motion, less pain, and more energy. Even expecting to start her on it, I had a bit of a breakdown at first, but I really consider this our miracle, our gift from God.

RE: Enbrel

My 8 yr old is on Enbrel and Methotrexate. She also takes Mobic. As far as side effects we haven't had any that the other meds hasn't caused. Actually she has had fewer.

Methotrexate cause her mouth sores. We had to keep lessing her dose. She now takes a very low dose and has no more mouth sores.

Naproxen cause bad mouth sores, we stopped that for the Mobic.

She has problems with constipation but has had that with all the meds.

Enbrel

Our daughter has Poly JRA and is on the max dosage of MTX for her height and weight. The MTX is just not cutting it and our Rheumy thinks that we should consider Enbrel. My wife and I know that this is not the ideal situation to be in but compared to doing nothing....it is the route that we will probably take. Can anyone tell us what are the common side effects of this drug????? They want us to be on the Enbrel in addition to the MTX.
Brian
