My profile name is Dee and my posts come up as Eddie Bruner. This has happened before and is very frustrating. My posts should be Dee. Please repair this. My profile picture changed too.

No matter how many times that I try to change my profile, my name continues to be displayed as "Jon Male" instead of "Jon McClain". Even after updating and saving the profile info, it returns to "Jon Male" the next time that I enter my profile. Appears to be coding problem. Can you fix?" PS: I have noticed others with the same problem.

How to change the font size of your post?

[size=2]Anyone having trouble changing the font size of your post please refer to the IFCode list on the text editor located next to the insert quote icon after the bold,italic and underline buttons. If you click on that IFCode link you get a pop up of IFcode and how they are used to format the text. It's basically code that has open and close tags. Closed tags should always be at the end of your post- they have the forward slash at the beginning.One thing to note about the tagging that can be a pain, is that you can't just select the font or size options without highlighting the text you want to change. This will show up in your post if there is no text in between.[/size][font=Tahoma][/font][size=4][/size]Note: if you add one space between the tags it will not appear because it takes that space as an element to format. A good rule of thumb is to preview your post to make sure its formatted the way you want it before posting.

Profile Modification???

Hey, AFDude!

I seem to be having problems with my profile. I am currently registered as "Jon Male" It should be Jon McClain. Sometimes I am identified as "Jon Not Specified" as well. No matterlhow many times that I correct or update the information on my profile, changes will only last until I log off of the site. As soon as I log in again it will return to "Jon Male" instead of "Jon McClain".

I have tried everything that can be done from here. It has to a field ID problem in the programming (or something).

PS: There are others who are experiencing similar problems. Lots of [i]female, male and not specified[/i] in the list of members.

Commenting Feature: Update

Some users have had issues with the commenting feature. I've since did some investigating to get to the root of the main issue of comments not appearing after a user has written one.

There are a couple of reasons as to why users may not be seeing Comments display immediately:

1. There can be a small cache after posting a comment. Most of the time, comments will be displayed immediately.

2. Users have the option in their Profile settings to make comments require their approval before they are posted to their profile.

All in all, the technology is working as intended. It would be nice if there was a way for comments posted by you to be captured in your profile (such as the sent message box). This would help users feel more confident that their comment was received.

Since this seems like something the community would like to have this will be turned into a Feature Request for a future enhancement.

Changing your Font Colors

Some of you may notice when you go to change the color of your text a prompt pops up and in the text field there is a # symbol. The message is "Enter the hexadecimal font color value to use..."

If you don't know what a hexadecimal value is then you can click on the link below to learn more. It also has a 216 cross-browser color palette like the one below. I've posted an image of it so everyone can see and get familiar with the hex number values. Although there are actually more colors to use, but you would need a color palette slider to get more.

How/Where do I create a "signature line?

Not sure where in this group that I do this. What I am trying to do is put my meds etc in the bottom of what I type. I might not be saying that correctly sorry :)

In other boards that I am on they have a place to create signatures. Maybe it is called something else and I am just missing it.

CSS not working?

[size=3]Does anyone on the board use the CSS feature located under Forum Settings?
I added a background photo to my Profile page and it worked for about a month, then it just disapeared. I didn't change the code and the link to the background photo is the same. It just decided to not load the CSS file it seems.
Is anyone else having this problem who uses the CSS feature? Is the code being overridden by code for the site?

Also, I'm wondering if AFDude monitors this board or is there someone else who can provide answers? I don't want to bother AFDude with an Email regarding something this trivial, so I'll just ask here.
Many problems posted here can be answered by other folks using the message board such as "How do I do this?"... but some can only be addressed and fixed by whomever is in charge of the actual board maintenance. Is anyone in charge of this?
Somehow, I don't think I'll get an answer, but I thought I'd try here anyway. :D[/size]
