Hi , Im new here, Ive had Ra/Psoriatic Arthritis for about 4 years now, Im struggling to pay my medical bills, actually I cant pay any of them and cant afford to see a doctor, Im taking prednisone and I know, I need to see a doctor and try something else but dont have insurance, Im 34 yrs and work but just cant make enough to get past the rent, and Im afraid my daughter may be having symptoms of arthritis herself! Are there any programs that help people who cant afford insurance? We live in washington, any advise on where or how to seek help? Thanks for your time

Hi indigo, sorry about your current situation, I know, and I understand because I have been where where you are right now. My suggestion to you is to try one of your local teaching schools or hospitals, or local health clenics and centers. I found myself in the same position, my insurance ran out and nobody want's a non paying patient, client, etc. My pcp wrote me a referrel to the closest teaching hospital here in Va. I was sent through the financial screening dept. and received 100% coverage for all of my visits. No co-pays and no lab bills so far, and I have been going for over one year now. My prescriptions are only $4 each. I hope there is something relatively close to you that is available to assist you. Take care and I hope this info. has been helpful to you. God Bless, Eva.
