I think diet must not be an important part of treatment or help for arthritis sufferers.  I have gained almost 35 pounds since being diagnosed.  I tell the Doctor about trying to ride a bike and taking walks, but I usually dont get a response.  I noticed to that once you have limited mobility the less Medicare will work for you regarding diet, exercise, and or surguries in regards to weightloss.

I had weight loss surgery and had to go on a High protien/low carb& sugar diet. I went into remission. It has been over 1 year and I had my first flare. Just started. I have have the old egg nog & brandy and LOTS of high carbs and sugars.

I did notice that I can't eat potatos, they cause me to start to swell.

All I know is that I can't wait until the holiday's are over, less temptation and less flaring.
