Hi Everyone, Saw my Rheumy today and he's taking me off Plaquenil and Sulfasalazine and I'm going on Enbrel. I hate needles - guess it's time I conquered that fear. I'm looking forward to some relief from the pain, inflammation, and fatigue. I got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot today, as well as a 2nd TB test. I'll start Enbrel next week. I'm running with the big dogs now.

Heye Joyce, didn't get any much relief from Plaquenil, Sulfasalazine, mtx, and prednisone.probably all at once!, had it that bad..ready for a wheelchair....nothing till Enbrel came out!.....hated being on prednisone 5 years nonstop..about 7 mg a day...Enbrel was my breakthrough, the nurse showed me how to do the injection's..

Hope you have the luck i did...Everybody has to get the right meds combo, and i hope you have found yours!...

Hi Joyce
I've been on Enbrel for 3 months now and it definitely took away my fatigue, which is a blessing. Hope you have the same results. The injections really aren't all bad. I've only used the sure-click, but others use syringes and seem to like that route as well. You'll find what works best for you and where you're most comfortable injecting.

Take Care
Cathy

Enbrel has worked for me for about a year. Now it looks like it has stoped working for me. But while it worked I felt better but never had any pain free days. I don't think that I ever well until they come up with a cure. Hope that will come some day soon.

Good luck Joyce. I hope it works fast and for a long time for you. With the sure clicks, it doesn't even look like a needle (well the Humira is like that). Making it less scary.

I'm getting there, Joyce, on Orencia soon. I hope this helps both of us.

I wish you much luck on Enbrel. Giving injections isn't that bad, I always tell myself that without Humira and MTX, I'd be so much worse!! Keep us posted how you get along....

Thank you all for your encouragement and support! I'll ask my doctor about sure clicks. Here's to progress and a cure!
