hi i'm new to the site,my name is sarah i'm 40 yrs old, I live in the uk and have arthritis for 12 years.I have had a toe removed plus and knuckle removed on my left foot and i have just been told i may need to have more toes removed.I have three children and my young daughter who is three keeps asking me why i have only got four toes on my foot, I was wondering if anyone else has had to explain to a young child something like the reason why mommy is different to her and how they coped doing it. Thanks for taking time to read this

Hi I too am new to the site, I also have children 10 and 14. I have had arth their whole lives. I have always told them the truth (age appt of course) This mommy is also different. But I bet your a great mom! I am on the course of have foot surg. And they have talked about removing one toe on left foot. Was it painful? Why did you have to have it removed? Sound like we may be friends with alot in common! Judi
