My daughter had pain for over 6 months before I was persistant enough to get a referral. One week before my appointment my friend told me about this doctor that we would be cleaning his house because he was in a wheel chair. Little did I know that the doctor was suffering for MS and was quadaplegic and has been able to heal himself to where he is paraplegic now. He has a clinic where he help people who dying or just needs help from all different ailament from AIDS to Cancers to arthritis. The best thing was he was not going to charge me anything unless I saw results. My daughter was in alot of pain that morning when we went to see him. He put his hand on her shoulder for about 10 minutes. She thought it was neat. The whole way home she was laughing and singing in that back seat. We got home and she kneeled on the floor and started to color. This a girl who NEVER kneeled, she always layed on her belly. My husband went with me to the appointment and could believe his eyes. My daughter hasn't had to take any pain meds since that day. The rheumatoid doctor that I saw the following week told me that if I didn't do cortazone shot that my daughter would soon not be able to walk. I told him I didn't want to something so servere. By the time I was leaving that office I was in tears, the doctor told me that I was going to be the crippling my daughter if I didn't do what he suggested. Needless to say I changed doctors and I have tried every nonabrasive method and Now my daughter as had no signs of this disease for the last 6 months. I got blood work saying that the JRA is inactive. By writing this I'm not saying don't do what your rheumatiod doctor reccomends. I just hope all the parents realize you can do alot of nonabrasive things along with what your rheumatolgist says. These kids will be taking meds a long time severly affecting there growth and well being besides that symptoms of JRA. If you can do something that can't hurt but MAY help. Go For IT! You'll will never know unless you try. Modern medicine has come a long way but it also seems that some of the things that worked in that past is being over looked. The website for Dr Holz is holzhealthcenter.com. Fast is not always good.
