OK Guys, You know how it is. Things are going pretty well but you've been fooled before. Is she really doing better or is this just another calm between storms? Well, I'm cautiously optimistic now. Ryan has been on MTX about 2 months now. I still feel some heat over her joints, but, funtionally and emotionally she is doing better. Less separation anxiety, starting to sit on bent knees again for a short time, not limping much, enjoying life more, less grumpyness in the AM, not napping ... Well after tonight, I'm am finally convinced that we are winning. She's been begging to return to gymnastics and I've been holding back. I finally let her go tonight and she said there was no pain. She had a big smile for the entire class. Now granted, gymnastics for 4 year olds is not exactly high-impact and the coach won't force the kids to do anything, but she dropped out 1 year ago because she had so much ankle pain and separation anxiety. Forget gymnastics, she couldn't even go to the bathroom in our own house without me being there to feel safe. She was an emotional and physical wreck. We dropped out of Preschool also. Every day was so discouraging. Naturally, I want all the inflammation to go away. I don't want to feel any warm over the joints and I certainly don't want her leg bowing out further. But, I am happy so say that we are 90% better than 1 year ago and my child is getting a taste of a normal childhood. Hope this encourages everyone who is working there way up the medication ladder to have some hope. The waiting is unbearable isn't it? Take care, Terry
