Merck is currently offering a grace period to patients who would still like to receive a Patient Return Kit to request a refund for unused VIOXX that remained unused as of September 30, 2004. This grace period ends at 8 pm Eastern Time (5 pm Pacific) on Friday, April 15, 2005. All kit requests made on or before March 31 have been received and will continue to be processed. Kits from customers who have already returned product and/or requested a refund for unused product will continue to be processed according to the procedures of the Patient Refund Program. All refund requests must be completed and postmarked or received by UPS by May 16, 2005, to be eligible for a refund.
