Tuesday:
Still sick, but on the mend. Walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes at lunchtime.

Wednesday:
Feeling a bit better today, but far from 100%.

I've learned something with this minor virus I have. Your body burns lots of calories when fighting a disease. I've been eating quite a bit the past week and doing relatively little exercise. I've lost 3 pounds. I can't imagine what it must be like for someone with RA. How many calories a day must a person require whose body is waging an autoimmune war? Of course, prednisone changes all of that, doesn't it?

Phew. Yes, I've fallen behind again -- but with good reason. I've been on vacation and I purposefully stayed away from my computer.

I will try to back-track my days of physical activity:

Thursday, Nov 20: Walked on the treadmill: 5% incline at 3.3 mph for 45 minutes

Friday, Nov 21: No exercise. I took my daughter to the doctor, then went to a business meeting, then went to Evening of Honors.

Saturday: No exercise. Arthritis Foundation Board of Directors meeting all day.

Sunday: Ran/walked 5.5 miles

Monday: Weight training. Legs and back mostly. Went to the chiropractor for a sore upper back and tingling arm/hand. Muscle spasms and thoracic outlet syndrome. He recommended I not do any upper-body strength training for a couple of weeks.

Tuesday: Walked ~3 miles

Wednesday: Walked 4 miles. Had a fairly painful deep tissue massage and myofacial release. You don't really think about the muscles that comprise your armpit until somebody digs their fingers into them. Ouch!

Thursday: No exercise (lots of yummy Thanksgiving food, though)

Friday: Walked ~2 miles hills

Saturday: walked/ran 4 miles

Sunday: walked ~3.5 miles

Monday: Walked 2 miles on treadmill 10% incline; did some Bulgarian squats (body weight only); did some decline bench situps.

What a busy week it's been. I'm wiped out.

Tuesday: Went to gym after work, did lower-body work.

Step-ups: 40 lbs x 15 reps each leg x 3 sets

Single-leg seated ham curls: 35 lbs x 12 reps each leg x 4 sets

Walking lunges: 40 lbs x 30 strides x 4 sets

RDLS: 90 lbs x 15 reps x 4 sets

Wednesday: Walked on treadmill at lunchtime. 45 minutes on an 8% incline

Thursday: Walked on treadmill at lunchtime. 45 minutes on 10% incline
