Tell us your Team Name and your story about why you are participating. If this is your first Walk, which one will you attend?
My Story:
I am a volunteer that was diagnosed with arthritis at the age of 17 after a skiing accident. As a result i have developed a life long passion for helping others affected by arthritis. I am the National Online Fundraising Chairperson for the Walk and I Co-Chair the Orange County, California Arthritis Walk. My Team is "Stoeri's Angels". The Team raised a great deal of money and awareness last year and we hope to better that mark this year. 2008 Marks my 7th Arthritis Walk!
I am walking as a survivor (fighter!) and have recruited my dad (and my puppy in one of the walks!) to walk with me. :-) I have chosen to do two walks this year- I am walking in both Evansville, Indiana and in Louisville, KY. My goal is to raise a thousand dollars for each event.
This is my first year ever doin anything like this. I will be walking in the Kansas city missouri arthritis walk. My team name is Friends making a Difference I was daignosed with RA in 2005. I thought this might be fun. Hopefully it will. My main concern is what i am to do.
My name is Yadira and I am the Dog Walk Chair for Tampa Florida and also the Team Captain of "ShyNia's Striderz". You are all welcome to visit out page it is a work in progess.

Hi Julie! Thanks for responding and participating in the the two walks. Walking in two walks? What an inspiration! Please let us know if you have any fundraising questions - we're here to help!
Yadira - i tried to click your link but it didnt go. You may want to partner with a staff person to see whats up. Thank you for participating!
Megan, your participation helps us in our goal to create more awarness about arthritis. So many Americans still think that this disease is only for the elderly and only a mild discomfort. While it can be that disease, it can be so much worse. Please share your story with all who will listen as it will help spread the word and raise money for us.
I read your profile and see you are waiting for biologics. I'm on Remicade and can tell you it's worth the wait. Partner with your doctor to keep pestering your insurance company. i had to do the same thing.
Best of luck and thank you for participating!
