Just had a knee scope 3 days ago.  Had a tear and knee cap tilted.  MRI showed 20 percent OA but after scope was told 40.  Does the percent really mean anything in terms of more surgery?  I am suppose to return to work tomorrow and am still needing regular pain med to get by.  Usually can get by with little or no pain med.  The first day or 2 wasn't too bad but muscles through whole leg are getting difficult to deal with.  Is this normal healing?

Hi Sandy, it's been awhile since i had arthoscopic on both knees, but your going back to work awfull soon. Please try to get that leg elevated at work, even turning over a garbage can, to prop your leg up.  it's normal for the leg to hurt, i bet your muscles are pretty sore

I don't remember any percentages of RA, shown on the MRI report..i would go by whats on the pathology report, they sent away samples of your tissue, or whatever they took out. I had to get that report, for the ortho to look at, before he did my knee replacement. My older brothers, both of them had knee replacements, and they have OA, and i have RA.

Hope the arthoscopic has helped you, and your giving yourself some time to recover...i'm sure you will be sore for a couple weeks, hope your pain is ok, and that the procedure has helped you
