I was wondering if you've found any solutions?  I don't text much and the PDA that I use has a stylus so it doesn't hurt my hands as much to use that as it does when I try to text using the keypad on my cell phone - but I can tell that I need to find a solution.

I realize that you're young, but people my age (and older!) who are using technology (especially for work) are going to need more "user friendly" ways to communicate without using those tiny, cramped keypads or touchscreens (I've also had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands - making typing for long periods of time even more difficult).

I've been looking around for some solutions and would LOVE to find a tablet PC that lets me use a pen/stylus - but is still very portable - kind of like a lap/tablet but with the phone / features of a cell phone and PDA.  Do you know if anything like that exists anywhwere?

I was looking at something called the "Pulse Smart Pen" - you have to buy special paper (and it's not cheap) but it looks like an easy way to transfer into directly into your computer without typing.  Here's a link with info:  http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/product/31717/review/pulse_smartpen.html  Since Cell Phones are really "tiny computers" - do you think that you could use this and then transfer it into your cell (I dont what kind of cords you'd need to do it - but if it's a simple USB cord, then maybe that would work?).

Please let me know if you find any solutions to your texting issue (or have any advice/ suggestions about what I'm looking for!).

Thank you,

Sophia

Yeah i would say texting bad!! When I first started with a blackberry years ago, I would get pain from it. If you already have pain I would say don't text. Ya know you can still call them lol.

I just thinking texting has become so impersonal. Just my opinion.
