Kenzie all of sudden keeps getting skin diseases. In January she started breaking out with all these little bumps. Peds. Rhuem. thought it was scabbies so she was treated for them. It didn't go away. Peds. said it was eczema use lotions. It didn't go away. She then saw a dermatolgist who said it was eczema, her put her on 2 antihistimines and a Rx ointment. It calmed down and came right back. Now she has a new rash and her peds says it is Pityresis Rosea this is on top of he eczema.

Has anyone else had any of these problems. She has never had either of these before.

My daughter has had a rash since November. It looks like small dots/bumps in patches (groups) on her arms, legs and lower back. The bumps seem to be mostly dry (not blisters) Her rhuemy said it is not related to arthritis and the ped says its eczema. He gave us a lotion for it and said it will probably go away on its own when the weather is consistently warmer. It seems to get better and then come back. It was really itchy at first, but now it really doesn't bother her much. Since she is so tired of doctors and it hasn't really been bothering her, I decided to just let it go for now and wait and see if it goes away on its own.

My son is 10 and was diagnosed two years ago.  He is taking weekly injections of methotrexate and Enbrel.  He has recently developed a rash on his elbows and knees.  His eye lids are very red.  We were told is was a type of psoriasis.  I don't know.  Just totally frustrated.  We are going to a dermatologist tomorrow.  The ointment that we've been given doesn't help at all.

Thanks, Rhonda Bush

I recently started taking Sulfasalazine and I got skin rashes that almost look like poisen ivy and itched also. So I stopped taking it till the rashes went away. I decided to try out the medicine again and no rashes this time. I feel like some of these medicines causes that weird patchy rashes.

hi! my daughter has polyarticular jra and is developing rashes too.  She is on naproxen and methotrexate and I was told the rash is mites or scabbies and once treated it has not gone away.  I think these docs don't know what they are looking at..........my daughter has never had skin problems until the meds.  so I don't know why they don't assos. it with the meds.  I am wondering if you have had any other success in finding out what the skin "rash" is.  I had someone tell me to look into pseudoporphyria.  I'm having trouble finding info. on it.
