My daughter  is 12 and started off with ogliarticular JIR 3 years ago and they have now recently changed her diagnosis to  extended ogliarticluar JIR.  She had never had a problem with her thyroid tests but this time they came back way off.  Her TSH is 10.1 and her Free Thyroxine (FT4) is 0.79, so they are saying she has hypertyroidism and now we get to see yet another specialist!!  Our Rhumatoligist said that it is very common to have both.  I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what do we have to look forward too.  Seems every visit to the doctors leads us down a new and scary path!  How does this impact her JIR?
