Hi all,
Sorry if you've already received this post. I didn't know where to post it. I am a 26-year-old with avascular necrosis. Four months ago, I had a total hip replacement and the surgery didn't go quite as planned; (I'm still walking worse than I was before the surgery and can't use a lot of major muscle groups). Since I had difficulty finding information on hip replacements for young people when I was researching having my replacement, I decided to start a humorous blog called "Young And Hip" to chronicle everything from appointments with my surgeon to getting electrified needles in sensitive places as part of nerve testing to losing my balance and nearly concussing a potential suitor because of post-surgical instability. (It's aimed at young people having a hip replacement, but most of the people who read it are of all ages, and many aren't actually having a hip replacement
).
If you're interested, the address is: youngandhip.blogspot.com

Hi Arley,
Did you check out these other forums -- rheumatoid arthritis, young adults and surgery? You might want to post about your website on those forums.
I'm sorry to hear you are still having problems with your hips -- I had both my hips replaced a few years ago and things went well -- but boy before that I couldn't even get into a car!
Well good luck to you, hope things get better for you. Take care.

Hi Arley
Thanks for being apart of this community. It would be nice if you started that blog here on our community site to share with site visitors. I could make you one of the featured bloggers of the community. Let me know what you think about that.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice. I will post the message in those forums as well. I didn't want to spam a bunch of message boards, but I figure that there's no point having a blog about a hip replacement if it never reaches people who are looking for that information.
And, yes, I'd be definitely interested in linking my blog to the site as one of your featured bloggers. Let me know what I need to do.
Thanks!
