Anyone having trouble changing the font size of your post please refer to the IFCode list on the text editor located next to the insert quote icon after the bold, italic and underline buttons. If you click on that IFCode link you get a pop up of IFcode and how they are used to format the text.

It's basically code that has open and close tags. Closed tags should always be at the end of your post- they have the forward slash at the beginning.

One thing to note about the tagging that can be a pain, is that you can't just select the font or size options without highlighting the text you want to change.

This will show up in your post if there is no text in between.

Note: if you add one space between the tags it will not appear because it takes that space as an element to format.

A good rule of thumb is to preview your post to make sure its formatted the way you want it before posting.

Thanks AF. I'll see if it works on this. I did get the picture posted but not sure how it worked! \

Can't get the thing out. What am I doing wrong?

aThey changed something overnight so it no longer works the same as it did yesterday. I have no idea if it will ever return to the way it was. God bless.
I tried this by starting with and it would not accept it and then added a space before the [ and it still would not accept it. I added the a before the[ and now it will accept it.

I've been corresponding back and forth with AF Dude all day. Many of the formatting features changed overnight. I hope they'll fix this. Otherwise, posting messages will be much more cumbersome and frustrating.

Note that I tried to write this in a green size three font. This is what I got.

I've found an approach that works for me until AF Dude fixes the problem. (I hope that happens soon!) Grandpavan's suggestion also works; this is just an alternative.

1) Highlight the text.
2) Choose a color, using the icon that looks like an "A" with a red bar. Fill in one of these codes.
3) You may get a message at the top of your screen that says you need to allow scripted windows. If so, allow them; then choose a color.
4) After that, highlight everything, including the color code commands. Then, choose your font size.
5) Then, try and post (or preview and then post).

For some reason, changing the font color first seems to eliminate the error message you can get if you just try to change the font size. (That error message says something about needing some content to your message.) I know it's annoying, but it seems like a temporary solution, especially if you want to change both color and size. Just remember to change the color, then the size. Good luck!

Take Care,
Pam

AFDude - Are you reading the posts on the RA-Connect forum? We are all getting frustrated because we can't change the font size and we need a bigger one as a default - as we age, it is more difficult to read tiny print! We
would also like to change type font and color. Seems like I'm certainly not the only one frustrated by this. There must be a way for you to make some default changes that would just make all the posts easier to read. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated by many, many people!!! Thanks.

All I usually change is the size. I click on size=3 and start typing. It shows as small type. When I finish what I want to say I leave off the final punctuation, go past the last bracket, and add the punctuation. This works for me. God bless.
