Hope you will all check my thread "IS IT FIXED??" I hope it is not a fluke, but tonight I'm given a large box to type in and can change my font style and size (in the order!) with an easy click on the pull down menu for each. Hope I'll wake up and have the same luck tomorrow. Hope you all have the same luck!

A new problem that can up for me yesterday....
The screen width of the readbox for the forum is now too wide. My guess it that another variable needs to be reset. Most servers of these type of web servers check for the browser settings and you can adjust it for the individual setting. Others use a default average.

I'm off Prednisone! and off Bactrim, currently taking Atenenol, Albuterol, Glipizide, Lozol, NOMORE NSAIDS and trying to lose the 30+lbs that I gained recently from Prednisone. Just added Arava. Diagnosed with RA in 1982. Fighting ILD. I'm dealing with my Diabetes and I've only begun to truely understand RA.

My main problem is that font and size keep showing up before and after any replies I post. We'll see if it happens this time. Looks like the tiny window problem is solved. Hooray!

It does look like the tiny text box is gone. The other issues seem to persist. I know that something is still wrong, because it's taking a bit longer than usual for posts to show up on threads, and even longer for those threads to move to the top of the list. I'll try and bring this thread to AF Dude's attention today. Perhaps he'll share more info on plans for improving the situation.
Take Care,
Pam

OK SO THIS IS WHAT I HAVE REALIZED ON MY PC RIGHT NOW. I CAN SHOOSE A FONT AND SIZE AND COLOR AND WHERE EVER THE CURSOR IS START TYPING THERE. IT SEEMS IF I MOVE THE CURSOR THEN THE SHORCUT WORDS SHOW UP AND IT DOESNT CHANGE ANYTHING. NOW FOR THE COLOR I DID STILL HAVE TO GO THRU ALLOWING SCRIPTED WINDOWS AND THEN HAVE TO KNOW MY COLOR CODE TO TYPE IT IN. SO I THINK THEY ARE WORKING ON IT BUT THERE ARE STILL SOME ISSUES.
THANKS PAM FOR YOUR HELP FOR US IN THIS MATTER

I'm on a Mac (10.4.11) and Firefox (3.5.3).
I am noticing that when you hit the "TOP" link, it doesn't work any more.

Captex, I think the width of the reader box depends on the length of the longest line in any post on that thread. If I post a long url it can make the reader box a lot longer instead of forcing a division in the url. I'm not computer savvy but this is what I have observed. God bless

Trouble? Remember me so constant login is not required.
login and take back to starting point is user friendly
can't use the face icons
cursor "floats"; part of entry disappears without any action from me
Bottom Line: this forum is a true village of support and we need everyone to have the opportunity to share their info. to help each other. PLEASE do not stop posting--your posts give me lifeline to the only people who really "get it" about our daily lives--the good and the bad.
Let's hope for a quick fix!

Earlier today, I sent a message to AF Dude and told him about this thread. He replied and said he planned to read it. If you haven't added your feedback yet, I hope you'll post.

Pam,
I always have problems posting. I have to highlight all my text and then choose what font and size I want. I then have to put in the hexadecimal number for the color. I don't have an option to just pick out a color for the font. I cannot post any pics or images with my message because I do not have the box that will allow you to attach from your hard drive. Also I cannot change my profile page or add any images. When I click on CSS style nothing happens.

For some reason, I can no longer look at a poster's profile. What's up with that?
I'm still having no trouble with font and size. Before I start to type, I select a font style from the drop down menu, then a size from that drop down menu. After the bracket at the end of the selected size (this is 3), I leave one space, then start typing my message. At the end of the message there will be two items in brackets - the first says /size, the second /font. When I complete my message, I leave one space before the bracket. I have not tried to add color, just happy I've gotten this down! Hope it works for others.

We have some control over who can see our profiles. I can see yours and you should be able to see mine because mine is open to anyone. We can make our profiles more limited, either to only friends or even not available to anyone. If you can't reach a person's profile, see if you can send them a request to make you a friend. This should open it up if that is the problem. I hope this helps. God bless

You still get extra lines between paragraphs when you "EDIT" your comments.
Thanks,

It won't let you type the word (checked) without #### showing instead of letters and I have never been able to paste on this site wihout it freezing me. Hey it let me type checked now, at least that's solved, LOL

Like Ronald, I've noticed that words ending in c-k-i-n-g, like check-ing or pack-ing are getting zapped with the ####.

I'll try sending another site mail message to AF Dude. I don't know if he's found the time to read our thread yet, but I hope he'll do so soon and provide us with a plan to solving the problems.
Thank you all for documenting the issues. Please feel free to keep the posts coming.
Take Care,
Pam
