So I had my 3 month follow-up for blood work ect. Had a cortisone shot in my shoulder since it's really been bothering me lately, hasn't done much for the pain though.

Also my White blood cells, hemaglobin and hematcrit are all still high. So I was referred to a hematologist. My appt with them is on Nov 12th. Really hoping it's not more bad news, really not sure how much more I can handle at this point. Think they suspect lymphoma, although she didn't say that. The dx was lymphocytosis which i know is just high lymphocytes. Just curious if anyone has had any issues with this. My labs have been abnormal for atleast a year but they just assumed it was due to the chronic upper respiratory infections.

The rhuemy asked if I would get the H1N1 vaccine, I pretty much just said I think i'm going to pass on it. She didn't try to change my mind about it. She mentioned how it's like when they came out with the small pox and chicken pox vaccines years ago. I am just not willing to risk what ever complications can occur at this time with my immune system as weak as it currently is.

Danielle passed away Friday about 2 weeks ago, due to complications from the H1N1. Her mother decided to turn the vent off. So her funeral was last Tuesday. Was very sad to hear that. She had been in a medical induced coma for over 3 weeks.

Well I think that is about it for now. Hope everyone is doing well, have been having issues getting onto the site as I know a lot of us have.

Keli - So sorry to hear about your friend Danielle. I'm glad you were able to get an appointment with the hematologist so soon and hope that doc will have some answers for you. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about the H1N1 vaccine - part of me says get it ASAP; the other part says if it ain't broke don't fix it! Take care and hope you feel better.

Dear Keli,

I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend Danielle. What a tragedy for her family.

Your blood levels are suspicious, but not necessarily from lymphoma. Have you had an upper respiratory illness lately? That could throw them off. I do hope it's benign.

Take care of yourself and don't let the stress wear you down.

Hugs,
Gramma Ellie

Thanks everyone for your words of support. I know you all know how much it means.

My white cells have been high for a long period of time. We too at first just figured it was due to the chronic upper respiratory infections. I had not really been sick with one right before. I had a lot of nausea and sinuses draining for about a month but not really an actual infection. I have chronic sinus issues. Right now the last week or so I have fluid in my ears which is causing a lot of pressure in my ears and jaw but nothing too serious. I'm still hoping it's nothing serious but am aware of the side effects of Enbrel. Not too much else to report on that really. Did run a low grade fever this morning but it's gone now. I never run high fevers, and when they do come it usually is less than a day.

Thank you all again. Sorry I have not been on the site much lately, just kinda been in funk honestly and not been feeling the best on top of it. Have dropped about 25 lbs since about June.

Hope you all are doing well!

I'm sorry to hear that things are not going well with you lately. When you are in a funk this is a great place to come for understanding. I hope things get a lot better for you. God bless.

Thanks Lulu and Tommy,
It's kind of ironic that you mention that Tommy. I am always hot, it's like once I hit 23 something switched I went from being cool to being hot all the time. They say it isn't hormones that my levels are fine so I really have no clue what the issue is. If it's above 68 or 70 I'm burning up and everyone else is freezing. Thanks again everyone for you encouragement.
