Anyone have any advice? The picture shows up when I click on my name to go to my profile but doesn't show up when I write a post next to it

I'm not very computer savvy but I think the problem might be that the picture is too large. I had a problem with a photo being too large and I stored it on my computer and edited it to a smaller size and it posted OK. That might or might not be your problem. God bless.
Age 82, diagnosed RA 12/2001, married since 1952, 4 sons no daughters, 4 grandsons 1 granddaughter. Doing well on Methotrexate and Remicade.

Seems to me I had to fiddle around with "Default Photo" or something like that on the profile. I took a picture on my computer, then got it to show up in the profile but not on the threads. I pushed "Change Default" a couple of times and all of a sudden it showed up. I don't think I did anything else and I know for sure I did nothing with the size. Good luck. If all else fails, check with AFDude - he seems to have lots of answers on the main forum general topics.

Hi Meow,
I clicked on your profile to see what size your picture was, but it is marked "private." Did you mean to set it for private? If you didn't you can change it in your profile settings.
So I checked my profile and it is 175 pixels by 226. And it has to be jpeg.
Hope this helps.

Here's something to try.
1) Click on "myProfile" on the the top of the page.
2) Then click on "Profile" on the left side of the screen (not "View Profile" on the top of the page)
3) "Profile Info" will be displayed. Choose "Account Settings" on the left of the screen.
4) select "Public Profile"
5) Complain loudly about how non-intuitive this software is.
p.s. We're looking forward to a picture of your dog.

Yeah! Thanks the last two replies were the ticket
Jay in Sarasota- LOL.
I actually wish I had a dog also. I grew up having both. But cats are so much less physical work and I live in a condo so no room for a dog to run around. Someday.. For now I've got my two wonderful meows
