Realized this morning that we have not heard anything from Lefty in several days. Hope everything is still progressing with CJ and that you and the boys are doing okay. Please check in when you can!

THANKS MARY! I FEEL SO LOVED WHEN I'M MISSED! YEP...I WAS HERE LATE LAST NIGHT AND POSTED ON A FEW THREADS! GOT TIRED AND GOT A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP. TONIGHT I'M WASHING AND GETTING READY TO HEAD BACK TO THE HOSPITAL...

ACTUALLY HEADED TO A NEW FACILITY!!!! WHIPEE! C.J. HAS GRADUATED TO A REHAB HOSPITAL TODAY! I WAS SURPRISED AT THE NEWS THIS A.M. WHEN I RETURNED TO THE HOSPITAL. I THINK HIS REHAB DOC WAS AFRAID HE'D CONTRACT ANOTHER HOSPITAL BORN INFECTION.

C.J. SAW SUNSHINE AND BREATHED IN A FEW BREATHS OF FRESH AIR TODAY! HE WAS SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY AND TOOK VERY DEEP BREATHS! HE SMILED AND SMILED AND REPEATEDLY SAID HE'S READY FOR REHAB!!!!

WE MADE IT AT THE NEW FACILITY AROUND NOON AND C.J. WAS VERY EXCITED. HE STAYED AWAKE UNTIL 6:00 THIS EVENING...THE LONGEST HE'S BEEN AWAKE SINCE ARRIVING AT ANY OF THE HOSPITALS HE'S BEEN AT.

A FEW HOURS AT THE NEW PLACE HE BEGAN TO WORRY ABOUT THE BOYS. THEY BOTH HAD THEIR WISDOM TEETH REMOVED YESTERDAY. WHAT FUN WE HAD! BOY, I WAS BRAVE HAVING THIS DONE NOW AND BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. BUT, IT HAD TO GET DONE! C.J. IS WORRIED ABOUT THE COST OF HIS NEW BEAUTIFUL ROOM. HE FUSED AT THE NURSE AND DIDN'T WANT ME TO SIGN ANY PAPERS. IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO SETTLE HIM DOWN. HIS ROOM IS SO GORIOUS AND I KNOW HE'S FIGURING OUT THE BILL.

REHAB WILL START TOMORROW @ 7 A.M. AND CONTINUE TIL 3 P.M. WITH RESTING IN BETWEEN. I HOPE HE GETS HIS REST TONIGHT. WHAT A BIG CHANGE FROM THE REHAB HE WAS NOT GETTING @ THE EXTENDED CARE HOSPITAL. THEY HAD A REHAB DEPT. BUT ONLY GOT C.J. OUT OF THE BED A FEW TIMES.

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SHOUT OUT! I APPRECIATE YOU AND EVERYONE! THANKS FOR THE CONTINUED THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS! WE'RE NOT DONE YET GUYS, BUT WE'RE HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION I BELIEVE THIS TIME!

HAVE A GOOD EVENING AND DAY TOMORROW! I'LL BE HANGING OUT AT C.J.'S NEW PAD! OH...I WISH YA'LL COULD HAVE SEEN HIS BEAUTIFUL SMILE AND HEARD THE HAPPINESS IN HIS VOICE. AND MINE TOO!

God Bless all my RA Friends!

What wonderful news! I'm glad I prodded you to give us a detailed update! You must be thrilled. I do a lot of work with folks who have had strokes or other incapacitating events and have never heard of anyone describing the rehab room as beautiful! Usually they are just vinyl floors and drab bare walls. You must have a good facility down there. I hope and pray for CJ's continued recovery. Re having the boys' wisdom teeth pulled - yes, you were brave or incredibly stupid! Just kidding! Can't imagine you took that on with everything else on your place. Hope they are doing well. Also hope you get more good nights sleep. Hang in there!

Tammy dear,

That's just fabulous! You deserve all the happy smiles.

What a long and arduous journey you have had, and how wonderful it must be to see the sunshine again.

You and C.J. are in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope that his recovery will continue to leap ahead.

Hugs,
Ellie
