Hi All: I came across this site after researching all of the side effects of the meds am on and I am hoping someone out there can help me. I got RA after my first pregnancy 2 1/2 yrs ago. After being on Prednisone & Sulfazine for 3 months it went into remission. I had me 2nd baby 8 months ago and the RA is still not in remission and I am trying to take care of my 2 babies and work and with the daily pains and all of these meds I feel like my moods are changing, I get snippy so fast, have minimum patience and am exhausted all of the time. I am taking 2,000mg Sulfazine & 5mg Prednisone. Do you think the moods are from all of this? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Any suggestions?

Hello everyone. I am 56 yrs old, and have had RA for 18 years. I was happy that it seemed that I had seen the worse of my RA, a total left hip replacement, surgeries on both wrists, etc...But my RA had a very nasty surprise for me still. I had a serious bout of Rheumatoid Vasculitis in March, I still have a couple of sores that haven't healed completely, and many scars, and this is 4 months later! It has been a hot summer, but I am embarrassed to go out in shorts because stranger stare at my legs, then look at me as if to say, what's the matter with your legs lady? I did a lot of research online, about RA Vasculitis, but I would like to hear from people who have had it themselves, and share what RA Vasculitis was like for them. How long were they sick, how long did it take their sores to heal, and scars go away? Complications? How often have they broken out, time between breakouts? Thank you for any info you can share.

I am 48 years old and it took several years before someone took my symtoms seriously. Finally 4 years ago I was diagnosed with RA. So far I have had hives with Plaquinil and Methatrexate. Lost my hair with the Arava and Humira combination. The worst so far was that after being on Humira and Arava for over 8 months and feeling great I can no longer take either. 4 months ago I got what look like a small patch of little blister like rashes on my legs and arms. Within 3 weeks I was blistered and peeling from scalp to bottom of feet. After 3 biopsies and 2 hospitals later it was determined that I had Pustular Psioriisis. A severe side affect of the Humira that only 3 out of 1500 test studies ever showed. They discribe it as a severe life threatening rash. Ya, right! I am still fighting the peeling and rawness on my hands and feet and the RA symtoms are hitting me like a sledge hammer. The next option for me is the Orencia. Anyone out there have any suggestions?
