I was "officially" dx'd with RA around 2004. I started with Plaquenil and after finally getting through denial and agreeing to see a rheumy I was put on MTX for about a year then Humira was added about 2 years ago. The Humira/MTX 25mg combo seems to be working right now.

I work full time as a Branch Manager at a Grain Elevator. I have been with this company for 14 years working in the main office as office manager and moved to my current location in Feburay 2008. The move was a good one for me, there is less stress and I'm 2 blocks from home!!!! I have also been a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT for almost 20 years and serve on the town board. This is a very small farming community so our lives are all about helping each other!! Wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.

I currently am owned by 4 Quarter Horses and 2 Blue Heelers,plus I also take care of 3 mules. I still ride and train the horses and mules, if I could make a living at it I would do it full time!!! So needless to say my life is busy and I wouldn't trade my time spent with my "kids" for anything. Truthfully they are what keep me going otherwise I would be sitting around turning into a slug.
